Doğuş Prina in Ayvalık continues its environmental destruction: Black water pools exploded
The black water pools of Doğuş Prina, which discharged black water to Nikita Stream in Ayvalık and created negative air pollution in the city, have now exploded. It was stated that the area was submerged and Nikata Stream was also damaged.

The Doğuş Prina factory, which has been penalized in the Ayvalık district of Balıkesir in recent years due to the discharge of olive black water into Nikita Creek and the unbearable smells emanating from the factory chimney, continues to harm the environment. While many vehicles were affected by the environmental destruction caused by the collapse of the walls of the Doğuş Pirina factory black water pools, the authorities kept a report. On the other hand, it was noted that Nikita Stream, which is next to the factory, was also damaged.
Making a statement to BirGün on the subject, Ayvalık Nature Platform Manager Nebahat Dinler stated that the factory went to capacity increase in 2015 and said, “It collects not only Ayvalık but also Edremit bay and Aegean wastes. Ayvalık has become the pomace waste storage of the Aegean. The people of Ayvalık have been complaining about the smoke and heavy smell emanating from the Doğuş Prina factory chimney for years. We have petitioned the Balıkesir Provincial Directorate of Environment and Urbanization many times on behalf of the platform to take the necessary measures…..
