The desertification risk map announced in the Global Climate Change Research Commission of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey revealed that half of the country is under the threat of desertification. Hikmet Öztürk, Deputy General Manager of TEMA Foundation, announced striking data.

Sharing the data of the desertification risk map published by the General Directorate of Combating Desertification and Erosion, Öztürk stated that desertification is one of the most important problems of Turkey: “29 percent of the regions with desertification risk in Turkey are very severe and 23 percent are moderately severe. the degree to which it is likely to become severe.
