Criminal complaint against Melih Gökçek: He insulted Atatürk and İnönü

Çıray described Gökçek’s words as “hateful insults made in a contemptuous language against İsmet İnönü, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk who commissioned him to negotiate peace terms in Lausanne, and finally the Turkish Grand National Assembly, which ratified the Lausanne Peace Treaty.” .

IYI Party İzmir Deputy and Chief Advisor Çıray filed a criminal complaint with the İzmir Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office regarding the aforementioned post by former Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Melih Gökçek on February 16, 2022.
“GOKÇEK JUST STOPPED”
Drawing attention to the fact that Gökçek was forced to resign before completing his term in one and a half years, Çıray said, “He would have been dismissed by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had he not left his office of his own accord on October 29, 2017.”
