Este material, carburo de silicio c\u00fabico nanoporoso, podr\u00eda as\u00ed incrementar la producci\u00f3n de gas hidr\u00f3geno utilizando fuentes renovables y sin emisiones de di\u00f3xido de carbono.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hay muchas formas de producir hidr\u00f3geno, a partir de diferentes fuentes. La mayor parte de la producci\u00f3n actual proviene de la transformaci\u00f3n de combustibles f\u00f3siles, especialmente gas natural, porque es la soluci\u00f3n m\u00e1s barata. El hidr\u00f3geno tambi\u00e9n se puede obtener mediante la descomposici\u00f3n del agua, mediante electr\u00f3lisis; la electricidad se obtiene mediante energ\u00eda nuclear, e\u00f3lica o solar. Pero esta t\u00e9cnica a\u00fan no est\u00e1 muy extendida, porque es mucho m\u00e1s cara.
