Ce mat\u00e9riau, du carbure de silicium cubique nanoporeux, pourrait ainsi permettre d\u2019augmenter la production d\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne gazeux \u00e0 l\u2019aide de sources renouvelables et sans \u00e9missions de dioxyde de carbone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il existe plusieurs mani\u00e8res de produire de l\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne, \u00e0 partir de diff\u00e9rentes sources. La plus grande part de la production provient aujourd\u2019hui de la transformation d\u2019\u00e9nergies fossiles, notamment du gaz naturel, car c\u2019est la solution la moins co\u00fbteuse. L\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne peut aussi \u00eatre obtenu par d\u00e9composition de l\u2019eau, par \u00e9lectrolyse \u2013 l\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 \u00e9tant fournie par l\u2019\u00e9nergie nucl\u00e9aire, \u00e9olienne ou solaire. Mais cette technique est encore peu r\u00e9pandue, car elle est nettement plus co\u00fbteuse.
