The “Pelikan lawsuit” filed by Serhat Albayrak against BirGün and Terkoğlu has been dismissed
The claim for compensation brought by the brother of former minister Berat Albayrak, Serhat Albayrak, following an interview entitled “Battle of the pelicanists for Istanbul” given by journalist Barış Terkoğlu to BirGün, was rejected. In its reasoned decision, the court emphasized that the information was timely and related to the social interest and did not constitute an infringement of human rights.
