‘Erdogan, Albayrak and AKP executives are at work’
CHP Istanbul Deputy Aykut Erdoğdu claimed that there were great corruptions and irregularities behind the scenes of the natural gas price hikes. Erdoğdu stated that the reason for giving higher guarantees for natural gas purchases is the corruption in BOTAŞ.

CHP Istanbul Deputy Aykut Erdoğdu focused on the exorbitant hikes in electricity and natural gas bills since the beginning of the year in his social media accounts. Erdoğdu also included many documents related to the allegations in his posts where he stated that there were great corruptions and irregularities behind the scenes of the hikes.
‘I KNOW WHO IT’S JUMPING’
Erdoğdu, at the beginning of his posts, said, “Let’s say this before we start. I know who will jump off the corruption that I will share. I also know their power and what they can do.”
Erdoğdu said, “Imagine what could happen if there are global and local companies that make tens of billions of dollars from these corruptions, along with Erdoğan, Albayrak and some senior AKP executives,” said Erdoğdu, adding that he was repeatedly targeted by the people he stated to be at the center of the allegations.
Erdoğdu made the following statements:
These internal and external power centers have done what they would do until now… My life has been scrutinized… There have been political assassinations by internal and external powers… I have been imprisoned and fined… I have been heavily slandered…
Their aim was to silence me and make my words worthless… The energy business is such a big business… You can never imagine complicity and alliances are formed in it… These partnerships include the media… I risk it all…

INTERNATIONAL NATURAL GAS PURCHASE AGREEMENTS UP TO 25 YEARS
Erdoğdu drew attention to the international natural gas purchase agreements made during the AKP rule, which lasted up to 25 years.
Erdoğdu said that the purchase amount and purchase price are important in the said agreements and that there was great corruption and irregularity in both issues. Erdoğdu said that the AKP government gave billions of dollars worth of purchase guarantees to the countries that reached an agreement, and used the following expressions:
Before the countries make a natural gas agreement, the buyer country informs the seller how much natural gas it will buy each year… And according to the agreement, the buyer country (Turkey) gives a purchase guarantee to the seller country (Russia, Azerbaijan, Iran).
